Zone 2 Fishing Regulations

Please Note: Possession means in your freezer, on your stringer or in your frying pan. You cannot have your limit in the cabin or at the dock and then go back out fishing. You have to eat your fish or at least eat some of your fish. The MNR have the right to go into your cabin and check your freezer.

Fish Sanctuary: Pete's Bay and Shamokan Creek are closed from April 1 to June 14 as this is the main spawning area and a fish sanctuary.

Walleye Regulations (Zone 2):

Regulations:
Open Season: 3rd Sat. May to Dec. 31
Limit - Sport License: 4 in your possession
Limit - Conservation License: 2 your possession
Size Restrictions Sport Locense: Only one greater than 18.1 inches


Northern Pike Regulations (Zone 2):

Regulations:
Open Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 4 in your possession
Limit - Conservation License: 2 your possession
Size Restrictions: Non between 27.6" and 35.4" - Only one greater than 35.4"


Brook Trout Regulations: (Zone 2)

Regulations:
Open Season: Jan. 1 to September 1st (Labour Day)
Limit - Sport License: 5 in your possession
Limit - Conservation License: 2 in your possession
Size Restrictions Sport: Only one greater than 11.8"


Perch Regulations: (Zone 2)

Regulations:
Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 50 in your possession
Limit - Conservation License: 25 in your possession


Whitefish Regulations: (Zone 2)

Regulations:
Season: Open all year
Limit - Sport License: 12 in your possession
Limit - Conservation License: 6 in your possession
